Our brewer,
Dean Browne, uses our 10 barrel Pub Brewing system to
artfully create unique cask conditioned brews onsite. We also serve four guest brews
on draught and creations from other craft breweries in bottles.
Our house beer styles will change with every batch brewed
so look for some intriguing beers, specials, and events.
Join the Porterhouse Mug Club and you can have the
opportunity to help us decide what to brew! (Wednesdays are Mug Club
Nights)

Red Rye - what do you get when you brew up a pile of aromatic caramel malts along with a goodly amount of malted rye and european hops? Why, a dark ruby-red brew with light caramel flavors and the spice of a loaf of rye bread - that's what. At 5% abv it's just the thing to carry you through til the spring thaw.
Thug, Stout - I brewed this one up using a typical Irish stout grain bill, a mix of English and Northwest American hops, and our house Belgian Abbey yeast. The result? Let's just say that you don't want to meet this beer in a dark alley. Dark and moody with a tart finish. A reasonable 5% abv.
Skye Dew -A mild Scottish Ale brewed with a touch of Whisky malt and fermented cool to pronounce this belly washer's malt flavors. The peated whisky malt gives this beer a smoky flavor reminiscent of whisky from Scotland's Isle of Skye. 3.8 % abv.
Left Field Lager - A crisp refreshing lager with an un-necessary amount of north western American hops. A warm initial fermentation along with a long cold lagering gave this beer a full malt flavor with a touch estery goodness. 4.5% abv
Up Next
We'll be heading towards session beers for the most part; next on the brew schedule are:
Wheat Lager - sort of a weizen bock, but lighter. A mild amount of hops give this straw colored lager just enough spice to accent the flavor of malted wheat. Toss in a tiny bit of malt sweetness and you have this easy drinking alternative to typical light summer brews ~5.5% abv
Plus - I'll be brewing up Reverand Dean's Dunkel and Peace Keeper Baltic Porter once again in the next few weeks. Look for both of them to be on tap in June.
